Welcome back to Eclipse Recording Studio's newsletter!!!

Bon Jovi band member Kurt Johnston has been in Eclipse working on his latest project with his wife DebraAnn, his sons Eric and Danny, as well as their family friend Rachel. Eric even played drums on the new project Kurt and Debbie are working on!

Rachel Chalmers and Kylie Riggins came by the studio to sing on Ray Kayanek's tune "More Like You". The girls sang like angels and the song came out great! I'll keep you posted on where to get a copy.

Here is Lis Williamson in the live room at Eclipse. Lis, her husband Lon, and good friend Steven Lynch are working on a very exciting new project. They have been tracking songs for the soundtrack of a Major Motion Picture! I'll keep you posted as I get more details!

Local musician and Berkley grad Rusty Springfield came by Eclipse with his stand up bass for a session this month. Look out for Rusty's ram bass...cool stuff!

Ray Kayanek was also at Eclipse Studios this week. He is working on his upcomming project and is pictured here with studio musician Kurt Johnston.

On Jun 7th, at The White Lion, Eclipse Recording Company will proudly present the long awaited release of Stephen Lynch's second CD "Hangtown Bar." A masterful songwriter, Stephen Lynch has done it again with great tunes such as, "As the Fire Starts to Glow", "Highway One", "Moonlight Dance", and "I Know she Still Loves Me".

Joining Stephen on stage will be many local favorites including:

Lis and Lon Williamson, Rusty Springfield, Dave Johnson, Tony Scozzaro, Doug Richards, David Lynch, and special guest Kurt Johnston of the Bon Jovi Band.

Catch Stephen on Good Morning America with JB (WFCF Flagler Radio- Radio With a Reason) and come out to the White Lion for a night you don't want to miss.

Welcome back to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!!!

Lick N Gravey was back this week working on their album "First Lick". Stefan Kozlowsky (right) was with Mickey and Dewey laying down some of the final fiddle tracks for the project.
John Dickie was here working on his upcomming cd with Rusty Springfield on bass and David Johnson (right) on drums. Check back in next week for more info on this project.
Josh Schofield, Suzanne Buteaux. and their band was at Eclipse this week recording some tracks for their new project.
Reggae artist Reggie Lark and his band were also at Eclipse this week working on their upcomming release. I will keep you posted on the release date and where you can get a copy of the c.d.
Here is Eclipse studio's newest addition, Tom Pisani, hard at work in the control room.
Brian Pappas came by this week to sing some tunes from Phantom of the Opera. I will keep you updated on Brian's project as I get more info.
Stacey Hume was also at Eclipse this week. Stacey is a recent graduate of Belmont in Nashville and is now headed off to Europe for a month.
Voiceover artist, Harry Strozier, was at Eclipse doing some work for STARZ and TBS TV. Henry is best known for the Ocean Spray commercials and many films as well.

Welcome to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!!!

Eclipse's owner, Jim Stafford, was busy this weekend running sound for this year's Gamble Rogers Folk Festival. This was the festival's first year at the fair grounds and it went off without a hitch.

Kurt Johnston, was also in Eclipse this week. He was working on a couple commercials and some songs for his next project. Kurt is a multi-talented musician who recently toured with Bon Jovi as his banjo and pedal steel player.

Ed Carrasquillo was back in the studio on tuesday. He was working on the follow up to his recent release "Journey of the Spirit." Ed specializes in hand-made, latin and native american flutes and percussion instruments.

Welcome back to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!!!!

New Orleans guitarist, Joe Caruso was at Eclipse this Friday recording some guitar tracks for his latest project. Joe Caruso is an accomplished musician and influence of Stevie Ray Vaughn.

 

Kurt Johnston, who recently came off tour with Bon Jovi, was also in the studio this week. He was doing some tracking for his latest project. Kurt also recorded two Cialis adds while he was here.

 

Eclipse's owner, Jim Stafford, set up the audio for Bartram Trail High School's safe prom this past thursday. Safe prom is a dramatazation of a drunk driving accident on prom night. Its goal is to discourage drunk driving and educate students on its dangers.

 

There was also a film crew here in Eclipse this week! The band Those Guys was filiming an in-studio video for one of the songs on their upcomming album.

Welcome to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!(Even though we missed a couple weeks!)

Jeremy Robshaw, of St. Johns County Fire and Resuce, was here this week with students from Bartram Trail High School. They were working on the audio for Bartram Trail's Safe Prom. Safe Prom is an dramatazation of a car accident on Prom Night. It is meant to educate students on the dangers of drinking and driving. Jeremy Robshaw and Eclipse have already teamed up this year to put on Pedro Menendez High School's Safe Prom .

Mission, a local Hip Hop artist, finished his first solo project, "Intermission", this week at Eclipse Studios. I will keep you posted on where you can get a copy. Mission is already back in the studio working on his next project.

Mary Jane Ballou was here this week as well. She was working with Jim Stafford on some mixes for her next album.

One of St. Augustine's favorite bands, Those Guys, were also here tracking songs for their next project. The CD is in the works and is not named yet, but the songs they have recorded so far sound great!

Jazz musician Steven Fox was at Eclipse this week laying down some piano for his upcomming album, "3 a.m." Check back in for updates on the status of "3 a.m." and where you can pick up a copy once it is released.

Lick N Gravey was also in the Studio(as always). They are still putting the finishing touches on their debut album "First Lick." Make sure to go see Lick N Gravey at the Gamble Roger's Folk Festival.

Welcome to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Earlier this week, Jim Stafford, owner of Eclipse Recording Studio, was running sound for this years Safe Prom Event at Pedro Menendez High School. Safe Prom is an event that stages a dramatazation of an accident after a high school prom. It is made to help discourage drunk driving and promote safety on prom night. The event went off without a flaw and was a success.

One of St. Augustine's favorite groups, Those Guys, will be here today (Friday) to continue working on their upcomming, untitled album. Click here to see where Those Guys will be playing next.

Jim Carrick finished production this week on the double-disc, tribute album for the late Florida Legend, Bobby Hicks. Welcome back to Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Country music legend Gordon Cash was at Eclipse Studios this week to visit with the local band, Lick N Gravey. He is the father of Lick N Gravey's Mickey Cash. Gordon was involved with classic country acts such as: The Osborne Bros, The Homesteaders, and Jeannie C. Riley (Harper Valley PTA). These days, Gordon Cash is still writing songs with his close friend John Stacey of Mercury Records. Mercury is interested in possibly signing Lick N Gravey and Gordon came down to check out their progress in their upcomming album.

Welcome back to another addition of Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Steve Bennett(guitar) and John McGhee(drums) were at Eclipse for a session this week. They were working on a follow up to Steve's previous release "Bear-Terrier Inn." Steve says that "After all these years, recording is still my favorite hobby." I'll keep you updated on the status of Steve's project as I get more info.

Jim Carrick was back this week finishing up the tribute album he is working on for Florida legend Bobby Hicks. It looks like the project will be a double disc album called "Let it Flow." I'll keep you updated on the albums release. You can see Jim Carrick this year at the Florida Folk Festival.

Multi-talented musician Steven Fox was here this week working on his upcomming album "3 am." Steven was laying down some Jazz piano with accomplished musician Rusty Springfield on Bass.

Ray Kayanek was in the studio with Jim Stafford on Friday putting the final touches on his album "Lessons from the Heart." Ray says that his favorite part about the recording process is "watching all the bits and pieces come together to make the final product." He also says that "Jim has a great knack for building songs." I'll keep you updated on where to get a copy of "Lessons from the Heart."

We are also getting geared up for The 2008 Gamble Rogers Folk Festival here in St. Johns County. The festival will take place on May 2-4 at the St. Johns County Fairgrounds. Click here to learn more about the Gamble Rogers Folk Festival.

Hey, thanks for checking in on Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Walt and Dave of the band Those Guys were at Eclipse this week. Those Guys is one of St. Augustine's most popular and well known groups. They are currently working on a new album. The do not know what the album will be called yet, but they have five songs recorded and are on their way to another great project. You can see Those Guys locally at The Oasis and The Sunset Grille.
Jeremy Robshaw also came by this week with Morganne, Megan, and Ashley. They were working on the audio for the Safe Prom event for Pedro Menendez High School and Bartram Trail High School. Jim Carrick was here at Eclipse working on a new project last Friday. He is compiling and transfering material from the late Bobby Hicks. Ed Carrasquillo visited Eclipse this week with his unique collection of percussion instruments and flutes. Ed specializes in Native American and Latin sounds, but uses instruments from all over the world. He just finished working on his album "Journey of the Spirit" with Jim Stafford and Jim Lamb and began work on a new project!

Voiceover artist Gene Galusha was also back at Eclipse working on an audtion for The National Geographic Channel's special "My Brilliant Brain".

Steven Craig was here this week with his new band. They began the tracking on new songs for Steven's album "Tomoka River Cries." This album should be out later this year, we will let you know more when we find out.

Barbara Norris and Anthony Fast of the First Coast Opera stopped by the studio for a session last week. Welcome back to the leap year addition of Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Kurt Johnston was here at Eclipse this past week laying down some banjo and pedal steel for Lick N Gravey's upcomming album "First Lick." Kurt is an amazing session player who just came off tour with Bon Jovi. As Mickey Cash of Lick N Gravey says "He's got the sound we've been looking for." Kurt has also been playing shows around town with the band Those Guys.
Rachael Yaeger finished production on the Bean Dip Sounds promotional compilation cd (mixtape) this week. The cd features local artists such as ATM, Soulo, P Cash, and Wormzilla. You can get a copy at the cd release party on Friday March 7 at Classic Blends (201 West King St). The cd also features production from Sunnyboy Music and songs from various independant New York artists. Ok, we're back for the second addition of Eclipse Recording Studio's weekly newsletter!

Voiceover artist Gene Galusha was at Eclipse on Wednesday working on some material for the television special "Lone Fugitive." It will be airing on TRUtv (formerly Court TV). We'll let you know the exact date and time of the premier when we find out.

As of this week, Alex Austin has officially finished his album "Nowhere Railroad." He recently had his final session to finish up the production process and put the last little tweaks on the mix. Alex is excited about his project (with good reason) and can't wait to get it out there!

Last week we mentioned a promotional compilation cd (mixtape) for Bean Dip Clothing that was recorded here at Eclipse. If you haven't heard of Bean Dip, they are a cutting edge surf and skate clothing company based out of St. Augustine. Anyway, the Bean Dip mixtape relase party will take place Friday March 7th at Classic Blends (201 West King Street). The cd features local favorites such as Soulo, ATM, and Wormzilla. It has been another eventful week at Eclipse Recording Studios!!! This is our first newsletter, so we've got all sorts of stuff to get you updated on!

Lick N Gravey has been in the studio working hard on their debut album, "First Lick." Mickey and Dewey (of Lick N Gravey) have alot to be excited about; not only is their album almost ready for release, but they have been getting some well deserved attention from a major record label. Alex Austin has also been finishing up his new album "Nowhere Railroad." Alex has been working closely with producer and session player Gary Goldsmith of the band Big Pineapple. Gary says he likes working at Eclipse because, "It's such a comfortable atmosphere, its like recording at home in your living room."

Rachael Yaeger recently finished producing a promotional compilation c.d. for Bean Dip Clothing. The c.d. features local favorites such as Soulo, ATM, and Wormzilla. We will have more info comming soon on where you can get a copy.

Pam Masters and the singers from Showtime U.S.A. also made an apperance at the studio this week. They are gearing up for some big performances at an Orlando Magic game, The Lighthouse Festival, The Putnam County Fair, and a big trip to New York this summer.
